This spot is up the "Brownsville Trail", at the "old quary". This is one of my favorite
hikes from the house. The trailhead is 5 minutes from the house, then about a 45 minute walk up,
or a vigorous 20 minute run. The quary is overgrown, but you can still see the large rock face,
a quary pit filled with water, giant timbers that supported the crane, water pipes, steel rails,
and a big ol' pile of granite. Walk through dwarf birch trees, picnic on the granite bolders,
         and behold the sweeping views.
